Basic Introduction:

Dr. Guomao Zheng received his doctoral degree in Environmental Chemistry at Peking University in 2018, then extended my expertise in the field of Environmental Health during a postdoctoral fellowship at Indiana University. Dr. Zheng joined School of Environmental Science and Engineering at SUSTech in 2021. Dr. Zheng is an environmental chemist, committed to applying cutting-edge mass spectrometry to study human exposure to emerging contaminants and how they impact people. His research interests include emerging contaminants, human exposure, metabolic toxicity, and high-resolution mass spectrometry-based metabolomics. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed papers in top-quality journals, including PNAS, Environmental Science & Technology, Environmental Science & Technology Letters and Environmental International. Dr. Zheng received the Best Ph.D Dissertation awarded by Peking University and Environmental Science and Innovation Scholarships by Foundation of Tang Xiaoyan in 2018.

1. 2018, The Best Ph.D. Dissertation, titled “In vitro metabolic behaviours and bioaccumulation assessment of toxic chemicals”, awarded by Peking University.

2. 2018,       First Prize for Environmental Science and Innovation Scholarships, awarded by Foundation of Tang Xiaoyan.

3. 2016 and 2017, Ph.D. President Scholarship (the highest award for Ph.D. students), twice awarded by Peking University.
