Dr. Wang is the principal investigator of a major project funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, an awardee of the Excellent Young Scientist Fund, a core member of the "Innovative Research Group," and a recipient of the Guangdong Provincial Distinguished Young Scientist Award. He is an associate professor and researcher at Southern University of Science and Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Plant and Environmental Sciences from Clemson University in the United States in 2015 and conducted postdoctoral research in environmental chemistry at the Environmental Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Center of the University of Toronto, Canada, from 2015 to 2017. His primary research focuses on the molecular biogeochemistry of organic carbon, with an emphasis on the carbon processes and environmental quality effects of natural organic matter in the plant-soil-water continuum. He has received several honors, including the Youth Scientist Award (Gold Medal) from the Chinese Society of Environmental Sciences, the Excellent Young Scholar Award from the Chinese Society of Soil Science, the Outstanding Young Scientist Award from the Guangdong Soil Science Society, and awards for Outstanding Associate Editor and Excellent Young Editorial Board Member. He has published over 140 papers in journals such as Nature Plants, Nature Communications, Environmental Science & Technology, Water Research, Geochimica et Cosmochimica Acta, Soil Biology & Biochemistry, and Geophysical Research Letters, with over 80 papers as first author or corresponding author, and more than 4,000 citations. His H-index is 38. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for Journal of Environmental Quality, a Youth Editorial Board Member for Critical Reviews in Environmental Science and Technology, Carbon Research, and Chinese Chemical Letters, and a Review Editor for Frontiers in Soil Science and Frontiers in Marine Science. He is also an Editorial Board Member of Journal of Agricultural Resources and Environment. Professor Wang has served as a reviewer for projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, various provincial and ministerial-level funds, the U.S. National Science Foundation, and the French National Research Agency.
