Prof. Hu Qing Receives the 2016 IBM Faculty Award

Prof Hu Qing, whose work with environmental protection, was recently named a recipient of the 2016 IBM Faculty Award.

Hu, a professor of School of Environmental Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology(SUSTech)and the director of Engineering Innovation Center of SUSTech, was selected for the award based on her significant contributions to the protection and improvement of China’s environmental quality.

The award is a competitive worldwide program intended to faculty with outstanding reputation for contributions in their field or, in the case of junior faculty, show unusual promise.

The award's objective is to foster collaboration between researchers at leading universities worldwide and those in IBM research, development and services organizations, and to promote courseware and curriculum innovation to stimulate growth in disciplines and geographies that are strategic to IBM.
